Teaching

MENTORSHIP APPROACH

I maintain a multidisciplinary teaching practice, introducing students to historical, cultural, and societal questions and using recent research to foster inquiry and critical analysis. I have developed and taught a wide range of courses, most recently on the history of the Internet.

Alongside more than ten years of university teaching, I hold a Master’s degree in secondary education and have three years of experience in integrative classrooms. This dual background informs my commitment to structured curriculum design that engages students with diverse learning needs. I emphasize student-centered, project-based seminars.

My teaching experience spans in-person, hybrid, and online seminars, with instruction in English, French, and German.

POSTGRADUATE DEVELOPMENT

Equipping emerging scholars with practical tools is a key priority of mine. In 2022, a master’s seminar on academic writing resulted in four students publishing their first articles in entropie. In 2025, a collaboration with Climério Silva Neto produced a series of free workshops (watch the resulting podcasts here). Due to the success of the first iteration, a second workshop series is planned for 2026—more details now [here]!

I’m also a founding member of a Working Group on Data Sharing. We host online events a few times a year to bring together scholars from different fields and countries to discuss their work-in-progress. Please get in touch if you are interested in joining us.
