Teaching

MENTORSHIP APPROACH

I maintain a multidisciplinary teaching practice, designing original courses that bridge my research interests with general historical and societal questions. I have designed and taught a variety of courses, most recently on the history of the Internet.

My teaching experience includes seminars in in-person, hybrid, and online environments; with instruction provided in English, French, and German.

Alongside more than ten years of university teaching, I hold a Master’s degree in secondary education and have experience managing integrative classrooms. This dual background supports my commitment to structured curriculum design and to engaging students with diverse learning needs. I’m a strong proponent of student-centered, project-based seminars.

POSTGRADUATE DEVELOPMENT

I focus on equipping emerging scholars with practical tools. In 2022, I led a master’s seminar on academic writing that culminated in four students publishing their first articles in entropie. In 2025, I collaborated with Climério Silva Neto to create a series of free workshops (watch the resulting podcasts here). Due to the success of the first iteration, a second series is planned for 2026—more information soon!

I’m also a founding member of a Working Group on Data Sharing. We host online events a few times a year to bring together scholars from different fields and countries to discuss their work-in-progress. Please get in touch if you are interested in joining us.
